Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Arabic Calligraphy artworks by Salman Alhajri These are examples of a contemporary Arabic calligraphy art practised by an Omani artist, Dr. Salman Alhajri, assistant professor of Art and design at Sultan Qaboos University. It explains the aesthetic features of Arabic calligraphy as a unique icon of Islamic art. Salman established his practice, manually in Arabic calligraphy as the main theme in 2006. In 2008 he start using digital and graphical technologies, i.e. graphic software (vector based) and Arabic script software, e.g. 'Kelk', since then Alhajri developed hi unique style in this art stream.
